Hello,

I am trying to incorporate nanostructures composed of aluminosilicate sheets decorated with silver nanoparticles into polyethylene. I´m doing it through melt intercalation, in an injection machine. To improve the chemical affinity between matrix and additive I`m coating the nano-structure with dodecanethiol.

I`m adding the nano-strucure to the polymer in dry powder form (therefore, a little bit aglomerated). I am afraid, however, that the shear stress provided by the injection machine is not enought to disperse the additive over the matrix.

Can anyone recommed me a way to improve dispersion in a process such as this one? I appreciate any help.
