I have hundreds of citations in word file, instead of manually adding one by one to Mendeley, is there a way to transfer/convert them automatically or at a time?
What would be most efficient way to convert them?

I have attached the step by step procedure. Go through this.
· To register yourself.
· Desktop download.
· Go to Mendeley.
· Sign in.
· Search for one paper.
· Click on add to library then it will be saved.
· Go to Mendeley library again.
· Click on sync.
· Click on recently added.
· Click on the title of the paper.
· Go to tools of Mendeley desktop and click on uninstall MS-word plug-in.
· Go to word option in MS-word.
· Then open the document in MS-word.
· And go add INS.
· Select Mendeley.
· Click OK.
· Open MS-word document.
· Click reference.
· Click insert citations.
· Go to Mendeley.
· Select publication.
· Click on cite button.
· Select the point at which the reference has to be added.
· And finally insert bibliography.

Thanks for your answer but that is not what I meant! I meant how do you add references in Mendeley from a word file (not manually)! Imagine, there are 500 books and articles' references in a word file, how can you integrate all the references from word file to Mendeley automatically (not manually one by one that you do usually) to use later in you paper. I hope it makes sense......
