I was wondering if we can compare or explain about the development of visual functions in children from 1 years of age to school age if we use two different tests at different ages but in the same children. For example, we use Teller at 1 years (binocular VA) and Lea or Sheridan Gardiner (monocular) at 5 years. Can we analyse development of VA in these children by seeing this findings from these two different tests? One will be binocular and next is monocular, also, one will be preferential looking (resolution) and other recognition. Any ideas on how we can explain the findings will be highly appreciated.
