Consider using the MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) which is a commonly used alternative to the MMSE. In fact some prefer the MoCA. The MMSE should not be administered to persons with a master's degree or above. There are also practice effects = people download from the internet and "practice." I concur with Christopher that the MoCA is more accurate and they have a version specifically for virtual settings.
