Hi everyone. We are trying to arrange D.O level in dilluted water. For example, we need dilluted water with 5 ppm D.O. . We can arrange it with N2 and CO2 gas but we also want to arrange with a chemical like Na2SO3. Can it done that 7,5 ppm D.O decreased to 5 ppm with that way?

Could you modify temperature. At a higher over 45-50°C saturation with O2 is around 5 mg/L. Is it a solution for you??

The according to Henry’s law of partial pressure .The solubility of oxygen in water is dependent upon the temperature of the water and exposure to air. But, assuming a beaker of distilled water is at ambient temperature and sitting uncovered on a lab bench, after reaching equilibrium it will contain about 6.8 ppm of dissolved oxygen. The dissolved salt also effect of DO level, if more salt then O2 level will be reduced to 5 ppm and also varies with temperature.
@YannLeBihan yes it can be but we need to work sensitive. How much can this method be sensitive? Or can d.o. level stay stable?
