Dear researcher,

I'm applying a thermal strain to generate the prestressed force in the steel strand of my concrete wall model using predefined temperature in Abaqus as shown in Figure 1. In this regard, I have input the expansion coefficient on the steel strand material as shown in the attached figure 2. Unfortunately, the stress was generated up to the yield stress of the steel strand (which is 1580 N/mm2) and maintained the yield stress value while my model keeps displaced (refer to figure 3). The stress supposedly keeps increasing beyond the yield value as the wall keeps displace since I have input the plastic material for the steel strand as shown in the attached figure 2. Yet, this didn't happen. I'm suspected that the thermal coefficient used is working only under elastic range where beyond the yield point of material data, the thermal coefficient no longer works.

Can anyone figure out the problem? Thanks in advance!!!
