Integration can be achieved by working in cooperative groups, which favors the zone of proximal development, internalization, expression,communication and student socialization in general. I taught in an area that had the highest rate of HIV in the state. We used universal precautions like hospitals do. You assume everyone has it, keep a kit with gloves and other first aid equipment in the classroom, never come in contact with body fluids, especially blood, without gloves. I never allowed any kid who had an open wound to stay in class. I sent them to the nurse.

When I worked at a non-teaching job a worker was HIV positive and the others freaked out and refused to work with him. They were scared for their own safety and had a lot of mis-information. The nurse and I met with them, provided them with factual information and answered their questions. They were fine after that.

How do kids know who is HIV positive and who isn't? I agree with the idea of creating an inclusive environment that does not tolerate bullying.

The HIV-III virus is very fragile. Just 10 seconds in the air and it is no longer infectious at all. Just avoid blood to blood and blood to semen contact. Saliva contact does not pass the virus. I have known nurses who were accidentally poked with IV needles fresh out of AIDS patients and did not become HIV positive. Occasionally, a nurse or medical worker has converted to HIV positive from such accidents but its actually quite rare. In short, reasonable precautions is all that is needed.
