Its understanding needs some clarity as below:
1. Which screening mechanism will be useful in accounting it?
2. How it will be useful in analyzing PL peak shift?
3. Clear theoretical effort to account it?

You will have to be more specific about the actual system you are considering, along with the conditions under which you are considering it. Physics of two-dimensional systems and specifically of quantum wells (QWs) has been a main focus of attention for many decades, so there is a vast body of literature dealing with these systems. There are many techniques which accounts this band gap renormalization, they denoted that Hatree-Fock calculations used to overcount this effect. In which way it has been operated on the wavefunctions? what is the physics behind it?
