If the virus is embedded in the Embryo (a reference is attached) and is destroyed for virus analysis, no question of its germination from such seeds.Kindly explain.
It is difficult to answer your question without knowing about the context from which you are asking it.
If you are asking about how GERDA determines whether something is eradicated or not, the database generally reports what the official (usually government) biosecurity authorities report as the outcome.
If you are asking for advice on how to successfully eradicate peanut stripe virus from seeds, I suggest you approach a plant pathologist.
Thank you Dr.John Michael Kean. I have the almost all articles pertaining Peanut Stripe Virus. If has about 7 aphids as vectors (not known much as to stylet born or circulative etc, but it has been recorded in many wild trees, shrubs, even in Soya bean apart from Groundnut. That was why I requested an answer from virologist, whether, one can declare as eradicated without much research/eradication programme etc. If we can eradicate, how ? what are the ways to eradicate the inoculum already in wild trees in millions, groundnut and soya bean in millions of hectares.
