Hi! Can anybody help me regarding how the p value has been calculated and what is meant by p value here at the right side of the table shown, any formula, tutorial vedio from Youtube would be great, Thanks!
You need to specify the statistical test that was conducted. The table itself does not contain enough information to tell. If it is a table from a paper/manuscript, look in the methods.
I'd assume these are t-tests for numerical variables and chi²-tests for percentages. Checking Age CHD vs.Obese gives a slightly smaller p-value than the one reported (both, with and without Welch's adjustment), this might be due to rounding errors. However, the percentages should not include rounding errors, since 1/500 is 0.2% what should be correctly reflected in the given values. Checking CHD vs. Obese for Males gave similar but nevertheless slightly differing p-values for both, chi²-test as well as Fisher's exact test, compared to the reported value.
