My system of double basin solar still is having cotton cloth in the upper basin for creating thin film of continuous water. In the double basin still the latent heat of condensation in the lower basin is utilised to heat water so, that heat is directly considered in the study but apart from that the heat transfer between lower basin water and lower glass cover needs also to be considered as that heat will be ultimately transferred to the upper but in the double basin still study I didn’t find any paper considering other than latent heat transfer for the same. Also my upper basin is having 25 mm thickness with continuous flow of water, most of the researchers have neglected the convection and calculated conduction for this case due to thickness of 5 to 10 mm. Can I do the same?
