How slow grower Bradyrhizobium compete with other fast grower Rhizobium in soil environment ? e.g. Ensifer (fast grower) and Bradyrhizobium can nodulate Vigna. My question how Bradyrhizobium is competing with fast grower rhizobium even legume have other option?
Bradyrhizobium is specific for soybean plant for nodulation, thats why it compete with other Rhizobium...
As the cross inoculation grouping of root nodule bacteria, Rhizobium and bradyrhizobium were specific for a certain legume
so no competition exist between them
and i think no options for the legume

I think as saprophytic life (in soil without association with legumes) we do not know much about these two types of microsymbionts accept that on culture media Brady grows slow and Rhizobium/Ensifer grow fast. We also do not know how chemical signaling (fast or slow) these two microsymbionts have in response to falvonoids secreted by root of legume host. If host plants have specificity for their microsymbionts or preference for the same, then other factors (edaphic and environmental factors play role in the selections). If host plants have specificity for both (fast growing or slow growing N fixing bacteria) then soil factors and environmental factors including altitude, geography, pH and soil nutrients play role in the selection of type of rhizobia by the host legumes.
