Due to the fact that the selection of a site for geological disposal is related to the stability of the geological structure, and the stability of the structure is related to the type of underground rock, how can we demonstrate the stability after disposal? We will create instability by building disposal well. And by filling it with a liquid will not provide rigid state to such a place that have rigid structure before. What instability!
Please can anyone help me understand how is it realistic?

radioactive waste disposal (any facility type not only geological) development goes through different phases, the first is the sitting phase which is divided it self to several setps. iwhere the site selection criteria developed, by the regulatory body, are used to guid the sitting process.
the site selection include spsecifications on geology, hydrogloy, geochemistry, .....(there are several documents provided by IAEA that cover this point) then the stitting starts that aims to ensure that the selected site is the most optimized one from safety point of view. for more details on the process you can check ono google books (pages 1005-1006)

Deep geologic repositories in stable geologic formations, the best are thick salt beds in the Paradox Basin of Utah, salt beds of West Texas, Asse salt mine in FRG, and larger salt domes along the gulf coast will limit the transport of all types of waste to a maximum of 1 to 2 m distance from the waste form for based on cumulative curie dose of all radionuclides,, for all solubilities. In fact, this takes no credit for borosilicate glass entrainment or other waste form packaging such as zirconium cladding, etc. The real problem lies with the public and purchase of land from private property owners.
