Hi, I am doing research in CNTs. I would like to know that how should be the solution resistance, charge transfer resistance and capacitance? (for supercapacitor application). The electrolyte is 1 M sulphuric acid.
It depends on your electrode type and CNT's quality.
Basically, ideal CNT has only electric double layer capacitance and it does not have charge transfer resistance on EIS plot. However, if your CNT includes reactive impurites or defects/open edge structure, where can react with electrolyte, there shoud be semi circle on EIS plot caused by charge transfer. In addition, inductance will be at high frequency when using jelly roll type electrode.
Solution Resistance : The cross point with X axis. Actually it includes electrodes resistance, but usually it is negligible compared to solution resistance.
Charge transfer Resistance : Semi circle's Diameter on X axis.
Simply you can take the values from starting point of impedence curve upto intersection values on x-axis for solution resistance and Semicircle diameter values for charge transfer resistance. But CNTs are shows EDLC behaviour so their semicircle is to much smaller or linear one
