In order to get a good grade for a piece of written work, the student must be able to answer the following questions with Yes!:
1) Have I written what the teacher asked me to write about?
2) Have I organized my thoughts clearly?
3) Do I have a strong introduction and conclusion?
4) Do my paragraphs have clear topic sentences?
5) Does each of my sentences express clearly what I want to say?
6) Do my sentences link together well?

Dear Mohanad,
If you mean errors in terms of spelling mistakes, word order or structure of the language per se, I guess it is worth highlighting them individually in students works. Each student should be able to recognize their mistakes and find a solution for them.
Cross out the mistake and ask the student to rewrite, or crossout and take the novel in a new direction.
