Quite often, quantitative evaluations are being made by research directors, academic administrators, policymakers, and bibliometricians too without having relevant data and sufficiently. Even the assessment of research performance gravely concludes beyond the limits of the data collected... perhaps for the media fanfare.
A partial dataset available through a readymade database is commonly used for quantitative studies; which is neither sufficient nor comparable (in a true sense) without further validation and consolidation. Thus, many quantitative studies rationally demanded to validate the same for addressing the research questions more reasonably with better insights. Naturally, it raises the question: how researchers validated their dataset used in quantitative studies?
