How much volume of paraformaldehyde should I use for fixation for FISH?

I am planning on doing a FISH assay on some tissue samples. How much (volume) of 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) should I use for this fixation process? I will incubate for 5 hours.

Also, should PFA be diluted to desired concentration in PBS or dH20?

I do not think that the amount of PFA is important. This depend on the size of the tissue, and anyway it has to be abundant.
