Nano-fertilizer is one of the most promising organic fertilizer we all know but when i went through some literature i found about nanotoxicity. As the nano-particle used in nano-fertilizer change the enzymatic activity of plant, can also change the same in humans. Then how it is safe to environment????? How it will not act the same in human beings ????

Scientists found out some of their potential in increasing crop productivity, in targeted delivery, in slow release, and in enhancing photosynthesis activity as well as germination of seeds.These topics are quite important in the science & industry of agrochemicals.

Use of fertilization at critical doses is safe for plants , animal and human beings. We have conducted a large number of experiments and we found safe limit of many nano-fertilizers. For example in case of nano-P it is 40 ppm concentration to apply as foliage, similarly for nano-Zn it is 10 ppm concentration , for nano-Mg it is 20 ppm concentration, for nano-Fe it is 30 ppm concentration, for nano-K it is 50 ppm concentration, nano-N it is 80 ppm concentration and so on.... Use of nano-particle as foliage triggers the different co-enzyme system to help the plants release the enzymes through roots up to their potential which help in mobilize the native unavailable nutrients to be available to plants for nutrition. Resulted less requirement of fertilizers from outside application. To fertilize plants through nano-nutrients, the requirements are very less, which are non-toxic for animals and human beings as the particles are entered through the cuticle or stomota or any holes of the plant parts and moves through the cell sap. After triggering the co-enzyme system it either absorbs as a nutrient on plant parts or accumulated in the vacuole as mega particle. Because during travelling the particles become naked and aggregation is going on. Therefore, their is no risk of fertilization, if safe doses are used.

Very good answer Dr.Tarafdar,nano fertilizers when used in the safe doses have no toxic effects on human health ,this can not altered the need for deep studies on this fertilizers toxicity.
This is my address to Mr Kamal and all of under discussion on pros & cons of nanofertilizers.We should realize nanoscience with purpose to simplify and benefit the life style of physical wold and the same has achieved as miniaturized communication systems, energy conservation & storage, optical fiber technology and in defence sector.Persistence and constraint metabolism of nanosized object into all kind of living cells has bound the world to think over the cons of nanoworld.For such reasons the harmful effects of nano on living system can not be ignored.However, such harmful effect of nano has positive response on combating harmful microbes for society.Our experimental findings on the impact of Ag , Au and Fe based nano particles on crop system was not found favourable for crop protection and growth.In a DBT project , we have observed the persistence of nano even under traced administrations into agricultural products produced after harvesting. So, we scientist should think that scientific concepts related to particular field are not supposed to free to decoratively implement anywhere.
