Luminex Crossmatch popularly known as DSA is popular in limited constraints settings. It is associated with high background, many false positive especially HLA -Class II IgG antibodies and to some extent class I as well. In a recent case for a BMT recipient with cumulative SAB Class I and II both > 10000, it was negative.

In my opinion a pooled bead assay can be preliminary, followed by SAB if indicated.
