I believe this discussion is very relevant. There are a lot of questions and discussions about RG scores. How are they calculated? How can they be increased? Why do they go down sometimes? And so on. The various responses to them indicate a lack of information.
From time to time we see "Deleted profile".
How can a person feel in this case? As on the picture above - Why ?!

My evaluation: more cooperation and transparency - we should be together!!
I have a record of 3 suspensions so far. Still I cannot fully understood why this happened and send several mails to them asking what should I do and should not do? I have received short e-mails saying breaching the terms and conditions but never fully satisfied about their decisions. I would write it down more but would take few more paragraphs and I am really upset about the suspension issue and perhaps would share more bits in the future.

Today I receive an e-mail from RG support team , this is the most satisfactory one so far, I thanked them but ask more questions as their explanations are not satisfactory %100. I ask them for guidance as well. As not clearly understood. They mentioned me I send 17K messages in 8 months time found it excessive. I asked them what is the cut off numbers? I explicitly asked the details of complaints against me? Not satisfied entirely I left my mobile phone for contacting them, as I don’t wanna loose my account in a such humiliating manner.

NOT AT ALL. SUSPENSION IS DEFAMING, I DON'T THINK IT IS NORMAL OF A RESEARCHER.
This news in really NEW for me. My profile NEVER been suspended so far. I think RG should informs its member the condition that leads to suspend member's profile.

Dear Ilhami Unluoglu Many thanks asking directly to me. Why? I don’t understand fully.I have been asking this question several times through e-mail . they say I used messages often I told them I have several followers and I follow several people and in addition whenever you receive a message as a courtesy you can reply a template message through RG. They say this can be regarded as spam. The 2nd issue I could understand( comprehend) is they are not happy if you share your work or sb‘s work through your collaborators in a project which I did. This may be regarded as a spam !! . i asked them several times - using a nice language - who put a complaint against me , they dont mention. I asked if this question regarded as breaching confidentiality then tell me how many people complaint against me? No reply. I know one chap he sweared at me as I add his name as a colloberator of a project. As he used sweared words I did not apologise him. There is another chap - probably- following this question as well he complaint About adding his name on a project I immediately respond and apologise and he seem to be happy. I am not aware of anybody and RG don’t mention the issue explicitlly. I asked them what is the cut off figure to sending direct thank you messages , no reply so far. I understand they have some boundaries but we don’t fully understanD. I said to them in the interim time I will limit my messages and limit my recommendationS. if sb send me a message than I would be vigilant about my limitations and will be very selective from now on. I do apologise if I won’t be responded which is my out of character but do not wish to be excluded from RG society completelY.

I have lost access to my account in the past when I left Sheffield Hallam University as I had no access to my university email and had forgotten my researchgate password. However, I have never had my account suspended.
Dear Emre Pakdemirli , I have discussed this issue at your AI project, and I have seen that you were removed, or your profile was banned. I have left the AI project, but there was no your response there since then. You did not react yet!!!
Oh is it so? They suspend profiles? What if some groups (bullies) report us and harass us?

Thanks Ljubomir Jacić , I have read you reason behind leaving AI project and I am convinced you have a valid point.
Dear Nii Nelson and Ljubomir Jacić many thanks for your kind interest about the current discussion and my AI global platform project. As a researchers and scientists and one of the very active member of RG member . I witnessed majority of time good and kind souls , individuals here. I am sure both of you the same.
I respect fully your decisions and free will. Remaining or leaving a project would not be a problem and dear Ljubomir Jacić make a very valid point but I disaggree with him to deliver the message. He mentioned warn the other 400 hundred colloberators and he used a stern remark citing my naivity about the issue and mentioned on direct messaging I am the source of the problem, as I encourage people add on their irrelevant articles. As he warned I amended the update Saying “please send pieces related to the topic” but “some colloberator “kept sending irrelevant researches along with AI pieces. As project name is very clear and I do not impose several warnings on the project side, I did not take any further action. I am sure his remarks have been seen already from all collaborators and followers. He did not like it my way and put his remarks on the project side and left the project. When he was doing this, he hurted my feelings - probably - unintentionally. Never mind , I have a beautiful mind and already forgiven every bodies wrong doings ( intentionally or unintentionally) so far since the age of 42 , that does not mean I would not reply or challenge, If absolutely necessary. I feel we all can achieve a bit more tolerant ambiance here. My humble advice would be if you feel sb added you in a project by accident , as a courtesy thank him or her , leave or send a message you don’t like it such and such reasons, make your advise or constructive criticism and if still don’t happy simply leave or report the RG. I was added kindly by several RG users to several projects so far and I left some of them already silently -without say anything- to the main colloberator ( 1st author)
my second humble advise would be: please don’t judge people without knowing the whole story.
Thirdly if sb add you on your project he/she respected you in the first instance and thinking your contributions are important and valid.
From now on I add no body to my projects without asking ( have more than enough happy collaborators already) and already sought advise directly from the RG as well, apart from some vague advises ( except very last e-mail which I found the most useful so far and told and thanked them already)

Dear Jelena B Popović-Djordjević Thanks a lot for the interest for the discussion. If you use your RG mailing for sharing a study ( yours or sb else’s) with several recipients, some RG users would regarded as spam that’s why that happened to me as I shared some of my pieces or other‘s interesting studies on my projects, particularly I have 2 projects with around 400 collaborators ( I was mentioned little bit clearly after the 3rd suspension by RG, which I felt unfair) There are more info in that discussion and you would find some official RG website sections recommendations mentioned in this current discussion earlier.

I have not had any problems with RG and my profile has never been suspended. I am pleased with the information provided by RG.
