HCT OR VCT have been focused on client mostly outside the health sections ,Have often do surgeon who have most risk for infection ,perform HCT and VCT to ascertain their HEPATITIS AND HIV status?
In a report from Canada in 2012, it was stated that "surgeons aren't lining up voluntarily to be screened". After interviewing Canadian surgeons, it was concluded, furthermore, that "they are downright avoiding it". Someone at my institution elicited (research for a Masters degree) the views of local surgeons in approximately 2007 in relation to HIV. One of the findings was that surgeons felt that disclosing their HIV status to patients would be discriminating to surgeons while not clearly being of benefit to patients.
The attached publication is an example on the subject of preoperative testing and subsequent counselling of patients by surgeons in a hospital-associated setting.
