How many percentage of ammonium sulphate saturation can be achieved in partial purification of cellulase while using CMC broth for enzyme production?

I'm facing difficulties in the partial purification of cellulase enzymes.

I used 2% CMC broth as a production medium, and after the separation of the pallet crud enzyme was saturated with ammonium sulfate. I have found crystal pallets with up to 40% saturation but in a further fraction beyond 40%, I have found viscous precipitate with little activity.

So, more than 40% ammonium sulfate saturation can be achieved by using 2% CMC Sodium Salt as a production medium?
