Hello,
I am planning to compare the stress tolerances such as cold, heat, or salt (not determined yet) of some crops and their relatives.
They are classified as same tribe but not same genus.
There are many studies about stress tolerance in one species that used accessions under stress to compare relatively tolerant accessions and susceptible accessions. However, in the study that I am planning, the problem is I don’t know how many accessions are significant to represent the species or the genus.
It is impossible to test all of accessions in the world. However, only one accession can’t represent the whole species. Then, at least, how many accessions should be used in each species when comparing different species?
