How long should 100 micron sections be incubated in Cresyl-violet?

I've cell stained 30, 40, and 50 micron sections before but not thicker sections like 100 micron so just wondering if any of you might know the optimal incubation time in Cresyl-violet . I will of course trial test this but a lead would be great.

May I ask how long you stained the 40µm sections?

I´m trying 15 Min with 1% Solution. But results are nonsatisfying; tissue /or cells/ are not completely stained. did you stain also floating sections?
