The plasma was in a cryogenic tube with a volume of 500ul and previously stored in -80C freezer for months. I would like to know how long does it take to melt at room temperature? Does anyone have related experience to share? Thanks!
Mingming Zhang An excellent idea - Pyrex can probably tolerate a fast warm-up, plastics such as FEP, or PFA, or PTFE, might benefit from a gentler warm-up.
I'd probably just lift it from the freezer, and suspend it in air (somewhere safe) for 10min or so. You'll have a little frost on the outside, but if it's capped/sealed (Parafilm?) then all should be well.
