Temperature and moisture are - in my opinion - the main factors in determining the possible degradation of poultry feed pellets. However direct sunlight might be of importance too.
The main risks are: fungal growth and fat degradation/oxidation.
Thus the main precautions are: low moisture content of the pellet at start, addition of an antifungal agent and addition of an anti-oxidant. Also shedding from direct sunlight is advised.
Silo storage may lead to temperature differences in the silo due to radiation on the wall. This might lead to moisture condensating and thus favourable conditions for fungal growth. Thus I would advise bag storage
In my opinion, there are many factors that affect pellet quality and lifetime. One of these factors is the enviromental temperature and storage room temperrature which cause oxidation and degradation of fat, therefore pellet feed should be used in short time and storage time must be decreased. Another factor that infulence pellet lifetime is moisture content that cause fungal growth and production fungal toxins that affect bird health and performance. Storage of pellet feed in sealed bag is safer in comparison to silo storage due to low moisture production produce via radiation and interamolecule water evaporation. For preventiny fat oxidation, we should add the appropriate antioxidant to feed. Good luck.
If it is packaged you can keep for 6 months at 25-30C and normal humidity level.

In my opinion, based on the moisture content (below 13 %) you can keep the pellet (packaged) for 6 months in normal condition, but It is often consumed in short period in many poultry farms.
