Dear Rajaa,

Pollution can affect fish growth in many direct and indirect ways. Fish in polluted waters will suffer from stress which affects growth negatively. Fish appetite could be depressed significantly in polluted environments. Food availability could be decreased in polluted waters which limit food resources for fish and affect growth indirectly.
