I am using the Ritz-DQ method to find the free vibration response of rectangular plates. I have applied Ritz method (using beam eigenfunctions) to the governing equation of rectangular plate.
This will result in "n" differential equations. Are these "n" equation coupled in some way or are they individual equations? Can someone help me in understanding the physical sense of this expression.

I have applied Ritz method and I got Eq.10. Now beam eigen functions can be used to simplify the discritized form. The Eq. in the .docx file is the expression obtained after applying the beam eigen functions (Eq.43 in the article)
I know to apply DQ method to a beam problem(a fourth order in space). There we have just one differential equation so it is easy to solve. but here it is like a system of differential equation. I am having problem in applying DQ into this expression.
