Just a guess but, the new common standard is to write text yourself and ask programs like ChatGPT to evaluate, search for mistakes, etc. So you can make multiple drafts and get insights about the quality of your work. AI tools should be used to assist humans. It can also be used to summarize the topics for quick insights, but that one is risky as it can still generate meaningless content (although rarely).
Technology has a positive impact on students' writing skills, improving their performance, lexical abilities, imagination, and creativity. It allows students to write digitally and produce digital texts, which aligns with their lives outside of school.
Personally as I teach proper usage of gen AI I believe like any generation with new tools only fuels human nature to create in Novel new ways The quality of which still remains to be seen. like all tools, some will use it wisely and create masterpieces much faster while others will continue to use It for ill gains. The question becomes how much due diligence will people do after initial creation or will they be a victim of their own lack of effort like the lawyer who lost his license because he didn’t check his output from chatGPT.
