I need to evaluate cellular vitality in Saccharomyces cerevisiae using flow citometry. In the past I've used LIVE/DEAD Fungalight kit from Thermofisher. Now I would like to use just CFDA, but after searching in Thermofisher website, I found two similar reagents:

- C1354 5-CFDA, AM (5-Carboxyfluorescein Diacetato, acetoximetil Ester)

- C195  5(6)-CFDA (5-(and-6)-Carboxyfluorescein Diacetate), mixed isomers

Both are described in the website as reagents able to asses vitality but I would like to know the difference between them or which one is better. Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks in advance
