Here, we employed plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) method to grow ceramic-MWCNT layer on Al alloy. PEO is a method similar to electrophoresis, but the applied potentials are higher than the breakdown voltages (Ignition or arcing is established on the metal surface). Therefore, similar to mixing method, we can not control the amount of MWCN in the obtained ceramic layer, exactly. Accordingly, I'm looking for a method to control the conductivity of the composite ceramic layer by doing a pretreatment process on MWCNT prior to adding as a solution component (using nonconductive MWCNT prior to adding to the solution).
The other question I have is whether we can calculate the electrical conductivity of the ceramic layers by EIS method?
Yes, Q:...whether we can calculate the electrical conductivity of the ceramic layers by EIS method? , sometimes even "better" (more sensitive on CcT-dimentionality) than common DC cond., because CcT is, usually, a function of frequency f (also), near the CcT. Note :CcT is the percolation conductivity threshold.
Also, for a usual DC cond. CcT see Figure 1[1].
