My cells (S.cerevisiae) are linked to the tip, how is possible clean the tip?
I've firstly rinse the tip in ethanol and then in di water. Followed by plasma treatment. But the tip every show some cells linked.
it would be very difficult to clean a functionalised tip with and without cells attached. My guess would be to use a Piranha type solution in a sonic bath to strip everything away from the cantilever but why would you want to bother doing this when the probe are fairly cheap ? It is very unlikely that you would clean the probe back to its original status. The advice to my research students is to discard any functionalised probes when used as there is no point (in our lab) to waste time cleaning these probes. Maybe if you tell us why you want to clean the probes, we could potentially help you further?

I want to clean the tip and reuse it later for a second experiment.
When the tip in solution with the cells, these will bind and subsequently I do the acquisition.
Finished the experiment when i use water to rinse the tip, and observing with the microscope, some cells are still immobilized.
