Still there is a huge gap in the thinking of the people belonging to the East and the West especially their attitude towards individuality and identity because of having different cultural, social, religious and moral values. The West giving importance to individuality has made man a machine. People of the East are confused whether to run after the West or they need to look back.
All through the centuries, the Chinese have had to move to Southeast Asia, Americas, UK and Europe, Australia, NZ etc. We have brought our culture, language, dialects and VALUES to all these places because we place importance on these things. Now, many are moving to the UAE.
Indians have also moved to the UAE. Most will continue to practice their culture and religion. All of us need a place where we feel safe and belong, and where we have freedom of religion and able to continue with cultural practices. Thanks.

Hi,
The people who are against globalization are sensitive to loss of their own culture, but I think that globalization not only enhances people´s tolerance of different culturs, religious beliefs, races, etc, but also it contributes to the proliferation of cultural diversity. Culture is dynamc although there may be some specific traditions and customs belonging to a particular race, group or nationality, cultures are constantly influenced by other world opinions and views. Therefore, societies are being integrated.So, it could be a good idea if countries can balance the benefits of integrating into a global world and at the same time protect the uniqeness of their own culture.
