i am working on the project of phase transformation simulation in ABAQUS software.i need help of your's for writing UMAT code for those thing.any one suggest me regarding this.
We have recently developed strain gradient crystal plasticity models and implemented them in Abaqus software as UEL, where non-convex contributions of energy leads to intrinsic formation of micro-structures and the resulting framework is a kind of phase field model where the evolving field is the plastic strain. The following publications could be interesting for you.
Depends on what scale you are modelling, and what problem are you targetting. If you are interested in grain-level/mesoscopic modelling of coupled stress-phase transformation modelling, you can use the above approaches described Prof. Raabe and Dr. Yalcinkaya. If you are interested in more of continuum scale modelling of evolution of phases as a function of temperature-profile, what you need is UMATHT coupled with UMAT, where in the phase fractions and related parameters are stored as state-variables. You can refer to the works of Prof. Cemil Hakan Gur for that. Hope this helps.
