i have the heat flux profile of a receiver for a parabolic trough system in .dat and excel format both simulated from Tonatiuh. i tried to simulate heat transfer in water inside the receiver but cannot input variable heat flux profile at the receiver surface in ANSYS. how i can input it and what analysis system i should use such as fluent, mechanical apdl, transient thermal. thanks in advance

yes. simulation need to be done in fluent at steady state condition. for variable heat flux input you need to use user defined function. viscosity model should be applied according to reynolds number. if flow is in turbulent region then a lot of cfd experiments used RNG K-W viscosity model
