I need new antibodies for different phospho sites for a human protein of my interest. I am contacting different companies. Polyclonal antibody production in rabbit host is expensive. Is it OK if I choose rats as host to produce such phospho antibodies? Is there any tips to reduce the cost and time in antibody production? Thanks in advance!
Have you consider cell culture derived antibodies production? It is cost effective, presice and more ethical.

Thank you for your message. The establishment of a protocol for cell culture derived antibody production from hybridoma cells is a demanding and complicated process. However, if you manage to establish such a protocol, you would benefit in the long term since is cheaper compared to animal production, not to mention, more ethical.
