In case that you are beginning with geostatistical analyses, I would recommend you some of the publications that are linked below. In the case of R, there are usually so-called "vignettes" that describes a functionality of the package on real examples and gstat has one that is pretty good, or you can even use GSTAT project user manual.
I am also sure that you can find a plethora of another free sources through the web.
