Suppose we are doing 14-Carbon isotope dating of the bulk lacustrine sediments and we find some reversals i.e. older age in the younger sediments or the opposite result. Then, can we try interpolation methods to get rid off from the error? How reliable will be the interpolations method in it?

Age reversals are due to a low accuracy of an age date, although the date may have a high precision. They are therefore part of the noise in your data. Using an interpolation you make an arbitrary assumption about signal and noise in your chronology. I think you should carefully discuss possible reasons for the low accuracy and then remove the age date from the chronology.
