Yes you can using the implicit shceme .. as shown in heat transfer by Holman.

In general, results from both schemes may agree very well and may not. You may have unstable results with explicit way.

Explicit scheme will solve faster than implicit , but it required very fine time intervals wrt implicit , also it's may be go divergence, while implicit get convergence better.

You're simulating two-phase thermosyphon , my advice is to use implicit.
