I would like to know that if i want to use some pre standardize test tool for assessment say for assessing intrinsic motivation and i have a standardize inventory that assess Motivation, with items divided into construct of intrinsic, extrinsic motivation and determination. Is it possible to take only intrensic motivation items of the tool and use it for my study? if yes , then do i have to perform all validity and reliability tests all again? finally at the end giving due credit and acknowledgemnt to original maker of th test. In such case will it called adaptation or modification of standardize test?

you can use parts of an existing test for your purpose. As there can be sequence or contrast effects, the results might deviate from the original scale. Also, if you extract only one dimension from a multi-dimensional questionnaire, the single scale may be easier to be seen through for the participants and hence easier to be manipulated. Therefore, I recommend using the whole original instrument (unless it is very long).
You always should perform reliability analyses with your data. Validity may well be accumulated by the results of your own study. You don't have to repeat existing validity studies.
If you have bought the original test, you can use it for your purposes and just cite it correctly. I am not sure about legal questions around using parts of existing tests, sorry.

I found some inventories and questionnaires partially related to my field of research (scientific creativity) in research papers of different authors. I am willing to use them partially ( not the entire items of the assessment tools, excluding the construct which doesnot fit my design and objectives of study) so was sceptical about how to use them and adapt them. I will be glad if you kindly advice me about it.

So when you mix several scales, you don't have the "manipulation" problem anyway. Just be careful when arranging the items so that consecutive items are not obviously related to each other. Correctly citing your sources should be enough when using scales that are published in research articles.
