The simple answer is that we can do nothing to stop climate change. The best we can do is to try to reduce our impact on climate change. I think the move to biorenewable products such as bioplastics and biofuels is a good start. However combating deforestation and urbanization would have more impact in the short term.
Biotechnology can actually be used to create micro organism who can acually have a great impact (once they will reach sufficent number) the main problem is we cannot stop them afterward....so they can overdue it and actually be a more nasty problem that we already have....
Keeping the debate 'is climate change happening for real' aside....if its happening. There is no way biotechnology could stop it. But it can definitely could slow it or reduce its effects.
Biotechnology can only reduce the climate change.Using renewable energy(biofuel) instead of fossil fuel is creating a great impact on climate . Besides, biofertilizer, biopesticide, biocontrol agent, waste treatment reducing the chemical effectiveness on environment .Applying biological complex(microbes, plant extract) is much better solution to maintain the climate change but not to stop it fully .
biotechnology help to control the global climate change through modeling the metabolic pathway. Waste effluent can utilize through modeling of metabolic pathway if you have a sufficient knowledge in biotechnology.
No Way by Biotechnology..Only possible way, To combat climate change we should study the climate and Environmental factors through NANOTECHNOLOGY...Ether Heat Budget & Sea Currents,,Co2 Intake or Uptake...Accuracy data is needed ...Only be done through NANOSCIENCE (10 to the Power of 9) ----Sabapathi Arularasan
it is not lab scale experiment to prove that nanotechnology is enough to overcome global climate change. Carbon dioxide emission is not in ppm but present in ton but availability of nanotechnology?
Plant and environmental biotechnology can help minimize the impact but can eradicate climate change. The damage is caused already we only need to slash down the effects.
