Yes delay will be affected since rate (MCS) depends on SINR. This is a direct impact. If you are using TCP then there is a second order impact on delay since it is an ACK based protocols.

Since we are talking of network simulations, see the 5G featured examples in https://tetcos.com/help/v13.2/index.html to get an idea of the impact of PL on throughput (which is obvious) and latency.

1. if you change the transmission power in 5G, the 5G network performance like (delay, jitter, throughput) be effected, in Fact, when you change the Tx Power, let us considere the link budget as Prx(Ue)=Ptx +Sum of Gain -Sum of losses -Lp, where Lp is the path loss, this means that Prx(Ue)=f(Ptx), and according to the received power, the SINR will be affected, the system will adopted different modulation schemes like 256QAM, 64QAM, 16QAM and QPSK whic has a direct impact on The throughput, delay and jitter.

In the same way, as you can see Prx(Ue)=f(Lp) is also a function of the path loss Lp, so if Lp increase, the received signal will be modified and it will affect the SINR, the modulation schemes and finally delay, jitter, throughput.

im using omnet simulator and when i try to change the path loss value and the transmission power, i see no changes in the results in the both cases its the same. that is why im asking

Yes, the results do depend on how carefully the pathloss equations and the 5G network protocols are modeled in the simulator.

I don't know how this is all modeled in OMNET. Its best you ask their support.
