Hello everyone, I would be very much grateful if anyone can help me understand that how the fuel (liquid oil) properties depend on the pyrolysis parameters (heating rate, temperature, residence time etc.)? In few papers I have seen such statements however, I have not found any article which establishes such relationships. It would be very much helpful for me if anyone enlightens me in this regard.

In those articles, different characterization of the fuel (achieved at different operating pyrolysis conditions) was reported however, I could not find any correlation of the pyrolysis parameters with the properties of the fuel. For example I am seeking for some articles which correlates the heating rate/ pyrolysis temperature with the density, viscosity, flash point, fire point etc. of the fuel.

Higher reaction temperature increases oil density and viscosity. The fraction of volatiles/less volatiles is strongly related to temperature.
Actually the most influencing factors in oil yield and its properties are temperature and heating rate, but it is influenced also by reactor type, pyrolysis type, particle size, feedstock nature, but also on pressure.
The answer is too complex. But the literature is full of results that let you stablish such correlations for certain feedstock and pyrolysis conditions.
What feedstock are you working with?
