Due to linearity there can be no device for copying an arbitrary quantum state (Wootters and Zurek 1982). The literature contains (as far as I can see) only vague hints how this result relates to the quantum measurement problem (QMP) E.g. Bub compares a classical measurement with a copy process, hence does no-cloning correspond to the QMP. Is there more to it?
