Greetings,

I have a 2eV electron accelerating towards an accelerating plate at a potential of 400V for a distance of 0.1mm (so it experiences an electric field of 400V/0.1mm) before it deposits its charge on a detector that is 9.9mm from the accelerating plate. In my simulation software I have set the field to be 0V once the electron passes the accelerating plate.

How do I calculate the (accelerated) energy of the electron at the detector?

Any advice would greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Regards,

Shri
