I think that it is very difficult to build a biomechanical model of the proximal femur with the simulation of all trabecular bunches because it will be difficult to give the proper properties for it. Unfortunately, I can't give you links to similar works. Try to find the mechanical properties of osteoporotic bone, fill in with it the proximal metaepiphysis and make cortical bone 2 times thinner.
