The question though implies that there is an optimal solution. For me, an improved solution, one that is the best under constraints, would be good enough for start.
If to aspire to a general solution, let us assert first what are the accepted climate change key mechanisms an impacts. For instance – 0 Carbon-print, growing Oxygen over CO2, reduced pollution, sustainability and low costs. An ideal solution would score high on all of them. In addition, it seems to me that a good solution should also be PERSONAL in order to bring about a global change.
In conclusion, AI can assist in virtually every aspect of climate change mitigation, providing insights, optimizing systems, and enabling sustainable practices.

The Nobel Prize 2021 in Physics recognized research on Complex Systems and Climate Modeling. Three Laureates were awarded: 1. Syukuro Manabe initiated In the 1960s, at Princeton University, the development of Physical Models of the Global Circulation of the Atmosphere (PMGCA), the ancestor of General Circulation Models (GCMs), the latter being the ancestor of the actual Earth System Models (ESMs). 2. Klaus Hasselmann created a model that links together weather and climate. 3. Giorgio Parisi is a theoretical physicist, whose research has focused on quantum field theory, statistical mechanics, and complex systems.

Volcanic eruptions, always Fascinating in Beauty and Majesty, remind us in a spectacular way of essential factors in the heat balance of the globe: the transfers at the Visible Lithosphere-Atmosphere Interface in the form of Seismic and Volcanic Activities and the transfers at the Lithosphere-Hydrosphere interface, Invisible because they occur at the bottom of the oceans. Unlike the GHE, the effects of these activities on Climate Change are not well analyzed, at least in Climate Models, including those used in IPCC projections.

The study by Li et al. [1] (released 10 days ago) "Energy transition paradox: Solar and wind growth can hinder decarbonization" is based on a climate-hydrology-economics-energy model to analyze the long-run impacts of policy-driven renewables on the electricity price and finally on the carbon emissions of future energy. A remarkable finding of the research is to show that without intervention, the lower electricity price could result in a 42 % reduction in hydropower investments by 2050. With increased intermittent renewables and decreased investments in hydropower, the energy system is expected to deploy more backup fossil-fuel options, which could increase carbon emissions by 45 %. Therefore, deploying more renewable energy would depress the investments in hydropower plants and further hinder decarbonization unexpectedly, suggesting a possible paradox in the energy transition. This possible paradox calls for a new, and robust policy to ensure the benefits of decarbonization are realized regardless of potential changes electricity prices.
