Hello,

I know that the definition of the indentation during the contact between two objects is the difference between the transverse displacement of the impactor and the target (a=w_imp-w_tar). But when it comes to 3-Dimensional elements, which can calculate different transverse displacement at the top surface and different at the bottom; is it possible that the indentation for the calculation of contact force (Fc=Ky*a), where Ky is the contact stiffness of the structure, is calculated differently?
