I was wondering how a general linear mixed model analyzes data. Suppose I collect survey data from 16 participants, 8 of which are given a technology and 8 of which are not given a technology. (The between-subjects variable in this case would be whether or not a participant is given a technology.) Survey data is collected every week for 8 weeks for all 16 participants. (There is some missing data, which is why a general linear mixed model is being used to analyze the data set.) How would this analysis method analyze changes between technology users and non-technology users (in terms of their survey responses) over the course of 8 weeks? Would this type of analysis require looking at an interaction effect? How would you interpret results in SPSS? What particular part of the output would you look at for your results?
