To learn can be understood as discovering for oneself, and to master can be understood as to be able to do for oneself at a certain level of quality. How do you work with your students to develop their power judgement and their understanding of good quality?
The capability related with understanding and judgement provides students with an opportunity to step back and think about how they actually solve problems and how a particular set of problem solving strategies is appropriated for achieving their goal. As per my observations, the below procedures can possibly helpful regarding the context:
-Prompt reviews of the learning situation, what is known, what is not yet known, and what has been learned.
-Provide some explanations to guide students' thought processes during explorations.
-Provide social-learning environments such as those inherent in peer-group works and small group activities to allow students to see other points of view.

Summary
Evaluative judgment is the capability to make decisions about the quality of work of oneself and others. In this paper, we propose that developing students’ evaluative judgment should be a goal of higher education, to enable students to improve their work and to meet their future learning needs: a necessary capability of graduates.
